How To Save Money On Your Utilities - Money Saving Opportunity.
Everytime my parents get their utility bills the monthly price increases. Sometimes we have to sell things in our house to make sure the utility bills get paid. Lately, I have been thinking of ways to save money on utility bills and I would like to share them with you.
I would like to talk with you first about how to save money on your electricity bill. In my opinion this utility bill is a home owners worst enemy which is why I want to share with you ways to decrease your monthly electric bill.
Turn off all your lights and appliances that are not being used. You are wasting money if your leaving things on like your tv if your not even using it. Did you know that your tv is the biggest electricity waster in the world. So before you decide to go to sleep or outside cut your tv off. If you start doing this you'll be surprised how quickly your electric bill decreases
Buy energy efficient devices. When going to the store ask for energy efficient devices. These devices are designed to use less electricity and will save you a great deal of money.
Purchase lower wattage bulbs. I recommend buying energy plus light bulbs.
Install ceiling fans throughout the house this is alot cheaper then putting on the ac and will save you alot of money.
Save Money On Your Water Bill

Take quick showers and avoid taking baths. When taking baths people usually use more water then needed.
When you are brushing your teeth or shaving turn off the the faucet until it is necessary to turn it back on.
Did you know that if your faucets and spigots are leaking it costs you money? If you have a leak you should get it fixed as soon as possible. Get your leak fixed and you will be happy with the result. Your water bill will be alot cheaper.
Save Money On Your Gas Bill

Wear weather appropriate clothing during the winter time. Start wearing clothes like sweaters and pants. Also you should buy thick sheets to keep you warm at night. You'll find that you wont need to turn the heat up as high. The higher the heat the more it costs so you would be saving money.
Have a fireplace? Use your fireplace instead of your central heating unit. wood is alot cheaper then gas.
Cut your stove off a few minutes early before your food is ready. The residual heat will finish cooking whatever you have in the stove.
Lower your water heater to 120 degress. You really dont need water heated to 180 degress. Trust me on this it will help you decrease your monthly gas bill and save you some money.

How do you feel about having to wear school uniforms?
Hey people, I am a sophmore and I have been in high school for two years. The school that I go to requires you to wear school uniforms. Me personally, I don't like the fact of having to wear uniforms. I would like you (the readers) to give me your opinion on being required to be in school uniform. I'm going to discuss with you first, the reasons why they suck and then, second, why their not so bad.
First, school uniforms suck because you can't express yourself with school unifroms because they are so plain, and another reason is school uniforms are ugly. But thats just my opinion. You may think otherwise. When in uniform I don't feel like myself because the uniforms are far from my style. It's irritating having to come to school everyday with khaki pants and collered shirts. Enough about why I don't like school uniforms, I would like to talk now about why they are not so bad.
Second, school uniforms are very inexpensive and can be afforded by people that don't have the money to buy expensive brands. Everyone wants to fit in, so if they didn't have to wear school uniforms students would want to wear name brands because they would be made fun of for not having expensive clothes like everyone else. This would be bad for parents because not everyone has the money to afford really expensive name brand clothes. I think having school uniforms is a good thing sometimes because it creates less bullying for students.

Why I Strongly Dislike School!
A student walks into school and is immediately bullied until he decides to run home. This stuff happaens everyday and that’s why a lot of kids don’t like school. For many reasons I dislike school. I dislike school because of bullies, overly crowded hall ways, and its too easy. Now I’m ready to discuss why I think it’s too easy.
First, I want to talk about how school is too easy for me. When doing assignments and guidance worksheets answers are given to you. Next the tests are too short and are sometimes open book. Also the teachers never give any homework. All of these things lead me to believe that school work is too easy.
Secondly, I dislike school because all of the bullying. When going on passing there always seems to be someone getting picked on. Next bullies affect my performance during class. When reading or doing board work I get nervous because the fear of getting made fun of. Also I feel violated to go to lunch and p.e because all of the bullying. These are a lot of reason why I don’t like school.
Finally, overly crowded rooms and hall ways affect my mood towards why I dislike school. There are too many students in the hall ways during passing. Also there are two teachers in my classroom which means there is someone all ways in my business or bubble. Also there are too many students in the classrooms. Everyone is trying to get attention which makes the class chaotic. This chaos makes school difficult and miserable to learn in.
In conclusion, There are many reasons I dislike school. Some of those reasons are bullies, overly crowded hallways, and the curriculum is too easy. I think the school board should consider making changes so that students can enjoy and appreciate school and a good education. So next time you decide to bully someone know that your affecting someone else's education.
