How do you feel about having to wear school uniforms?

Hey people, I am a sophmore and I have been in high school for two years. The school that I go to requires you to wear school uniforms. Me personally, I don't like the fact of having to wear uniforms. I would like you (the readers) to give me your opinion on being required to be in school uniform. I'm going to discuss with you first, the reasons why they suck and then, second, why their not so bad.

  First, school uniforms suck because you can't express yourself with school unifroms because they are so plain, and another reason is school uniforms are ugly. But thats just my opinion. You may think otherwise. When in uniform I don't feel like myself because the uniforms are far from my style. It's irritating having to come to school everyday with khaki pants and collered shirts. Enough about why I don't like school uniforms, I would like to talk now about why they are not so bad.

 Second, school uniforms are very inexpensive and can be afforded by  people that don't have the money to buy expensive brands. Everyone wants to fit in, so if they didn't have to wear school uniforms students would want to wear name brands because they would be made fun of for not having expensive clothes like everyone else. This would be bad for parents because not everyone has the money to afford really expensive name brand clothes. I think having school uniforms is a good thing sometimes because it creates less bullying for students.

  Now that I have talked about how I feel about wearing school uniforms I would like you to share your opinions on my perspective.

Why I Strongly Dislike School!

A student walks into school and is immediately bullied until he decides to run home. This stuff happaens everyday and that’s why a lot of kids don’t like school. For many reasons I dislike school. I dislike school because of bullies, overly crowded hall ways, and its too easy. Now I’m ready to discuss why I think it’s too easy.

    First, I want to talk about how school is too easy for me. When doing assignments and guidance worksheets answers are given to you. Next the tests are too short and are sometimes open book. Also the teachers never give any homework. All of these things lead me to believe that school work is too easy.

   Secondly, I dislike school because all of the bullying. When going on passing there always seems to be someone getting picked on. Next bullies affect my performance during class. When reading or doing board work I get nervous because the fear of getting made fun of. Also I feel violated to go to lunch and p.e because all of the bullying. These are a lot of reason why I don’t like school.

   Finally, overly crowded rooms and hall ways affect my mood towards why I dislike school. There are too many students in the hall ways during passing. Also there are two teachers in my classroom which means there is someone all ways in my business or bubble. Also there are too many students in the classrooms. Everyone is trying to get attention which makes the class chaotic. This chaos makes school difficult and miserable to learn in.

In conclusion, There are many reasons I dislike school. Some of those reasons are bullies, overly crowded hallways, and the curriculum is too easy. I think the school board should consider making changes so that students can enjoy and appreciate school and a good education. So next time you decide to bully someone know that your affecting someone else's education.
